Great stuff. The infinite gap between nothing and something is very much overlooked by those in the evolutionist camp. And then when they try to pull the Aristotelian "eternal universe" angle, you just have to point out that it's impossible for there to be any change without a First Cause.

Yeah, they gloss over that part.  So how did all this complexity of life come from nothing?  They try to mask it by claiming, well, first it was just nothing that exploding into untold amounts of matter (even though that's philosphically impossible).  Then the random swirling organized itself.  Evolution is utterly preposterous every step of the way.

I posted a video on the other thread that basically proved that even for a SINGLE CELL to form would be absolutely impossible through randomness and chance.  And from there you'd have to have this single cell somehow being smart enough to reproduce itself, and then the other cells it reproduced with would organize and work together somehow to form a more complex organism  It's absolutely and utterly ludicrous.

But here's how people get snookered.  They're shown pictures of animals that look similar to each other.  And, ironically, the SUDDENLY find themselves in tune with statistics because, the odds are so low that two similar creatures would evolve independently, that one of them must have come from the other.  They never consider the possibility that the similarity (the common design) is due to having a common designer.

Bottom line:  evolution is only believed by those who either 1) want to accept it because they simply don't want to believe in God and/or 2) they are simply dumbed down in school and believe the propaganda

In 1820, Pope Pius VII took that same evolved heliocentric system on board the Catholic Ark, and said any who object face the wrath of the Inquisition.

‘The most excellent [Holy Office] have decreed that there must be no denial, by the present or by future Masters of the Sacred Apostolic Palace, of permission to print and to publish works which treat of the mobility of the Earth and of the immobility of the sun [the defined heresy in 1616], according to the common opinion of modern astronomers, as long as there are no other contrary indications, on the basis of the decrees of the Sacred Congregation of the Index of 1757 and of this Supreme [Holy Office] of 1820; and that those who would show themselves to be reluctant or would disobey, should be forced under punishments at the choice of [this] Sacred Congregation, with derogation of [their] claimed privileges, where necessary.’

So, you were, and still are, in trouble with the popes of our Church if you do not accept an evolved solar system and thus evolution itself. And that is why no pope has ever condemned evolution, not even put Darwin's book on the Index. It then became necessary to show it was GOD who organised the absurd miracles for evolution. Thus Fr Hull, Fr Scott, Fr Brendan Purcell, Fr Paul Robinson and God knows how many more priests have convinced Catholics to believe in that theistic evolutionism. If you do not believe in 13.5 billion year 'Creation' then, as Fr Robinson says, you are a Protestant fundamentalist.

This video didn't get any responses in the thread I started about it, but I thought it was amazing.  While this one takes a bit over nine minutes, this utterly destroys evolution at its very foundations.  I thought their little analogy with an amoeba carrying a single atom across the entire length of the known universe (if you grant that) drove home the point.

The video was awesome because it gave some meaning to that remote probability. 10 to the 164th power is beyond the conception of human beings. We're not wired to understand such mind boggling numbers. But to understand it in terms of a slow moving amoeba traversing the known universe -- now THAT gives it some meaning and context.

10 I can conceive.  164 I can conceive. But 10 to the 164th power? Not at all, and all other human beings are with me on that. Humans don't "do" exponential. It's not intuitive to conceive of such things.

This statement is complete and utter nonsense.

The Pope is simply saying that there must be NO DENIAL OF PERMISSION TO PRINT works treating of the mobility/immobility of the Earth/sun based on said previous declarations of the Holy Office. In other words, it's not a dogma and it doesn't unsettle dogma - scientists must be left free to treat of the matter.

Equating that with promoting Evolution is iniquitous.
