    That's right.  The Church has always taught the opposite. This idea is clear in writings of St. Augustine and St. Thomas among other places.

    Hey Meg, go to the most recent thread on Holy Scripture and flat earth.  Providentissimus Deus  supports flat earth, especially the literal and sensible meaning of scripture regarding the earth.   Not as Jaynek thinks.  Read it for yourself.
