I still haven't seen where scripture says without a doubt that the earth is flat.

I hardly think Dante is a reliable source of either current scientific information or, more importantly, of Catholic dogma. St. Dante?  He’s not in any martyrology. 
If the correct answer to FE or spherical earth were necessary for salvation, Our Lord and the 
Magisterium would have made it clear. 
It’s an interesting question, as is heliocentrism vs. geocentrism. What, upon saving our souls and arriving in Heaven, the answer turns out to be “none of the above?”  Perhaps it’s something our earthly minds are incapable of understanding?

Gee, I guess that ends the discussion!!!   

I suppose God made a mistake when He told us we are under the firmament and the sun and moon are IN the firmament.  

Frankly, such a weak sauce OP just goes to show that one must grasp at anything that *might* be (mis-)construed as supporting the model put for by the enemies of God, angels and men.

If I recall correctly there's also two psalms that mention 'the waters that are above the heavens.'

No idea how you'd go about explaining that in a globe earth model.

Edit: Found them, Psalm 148 and the canticle of the three children from Daniel 3

He goes so far to say (in my interpretation of the ending) that land masses are generally northward to get away from Satan, which indicates a sort of FE model, but with a mountain below (Antarctica?) being mount purgatory, so definitely globe model especially with the gravity reference.

What does that have to do with FE/GE? It works in either model.
