    • Cardinal Bellarmine denounced the theory thst the earth moves, calling it the "false Pythagorean doctrine.

    Galileo also credited Pythagoras for the idea the earth moved.

    St Thomas! What distinction is being made here? That hell is not in the middle of a ball earth but under the flat earth? Sure sounds like it.
