Do the spaceships , capsules come back to earth at the perpendicular, as in plumb bob trajectory (I); or do they approach earth at a very low angle (II) to allow more distance / time for decel? Just simply asking.
There was a deadly re-entry from space years back and the shuttle?, as seen on video, was travelling mostly horizontal, and fell to pieces, because one shield tile was weak, killing all on board. Of course the space shuttle had wings and would land nicely, but do capsules use the low angle to its advantage?
