    This year, Thanksgiving Day occurs on a full moon.
    .
    And like always, the same full moon is seen all over the world at the same time, which is impossible if the earth were "flat."
    .
    At midnight the full moon is always directly overhead at the top of its arc from east to west across the sky.
        Of course, in the far north or far south, it is lower in the sky due to the earth's curvature.
    .
    At midnight when the moon is at astronomical 12 o'clock, a 2" pipe pointed at the moon so you can look through the pipe and see the moon through it,
        you will always find that in the other direction, the pipe points down into the earth at the location of the sun;
        but you can't see the sun because the earth is in the way,
        which would not be the case with a "flat" earth where the sun is always above it.
    .
    Just think -- if you had a self-illuminating globe moon lamp, you could have your own full moon anytime you want one!

    It's impossible if light follows the physics we expect by the standard model (globe earth).

    However, if light bends according to a transformed geometry in which the earth is in reality "flat", then everything would look and behave to us the same as if it were a globe. It's an analogous argument to the one geocentrists make.

    So nobody is confused: I don't think the earth is flat.
