The only way that gets me back to the east coast is to mak a turn somewhere to travel back. Even on that map if you only go to your east you eventually hit the edge. If you keep going east your on your way out to space. Any chance you can send me a pic of the edge or a number for any pilot who flew past the edge? No matter the map you create traveling in one direction only won’t get you back to the point of beginning on a flat earth. Simple observation.

The sun circuits above the flat earth in a circle (get it?) from east to west. The movement is "curved" by the magnetic pull of the north pole. The sun is circuiting around the magnet, as is the compass in the gyroscope in the cockpit that your pilot friend followed when he made the trip.
