I visited Yellowstone in 1969 and recall a lot of activity, although not as much as in this video. My Dad and I saw a "rare" eruption of the Steamboat Geyser! It was spectacular! If I recall, it is the the tallest active geyser in the world. I believe the Giantess also erupted. I don't remember the surface of The Inkpot actually roiling. It was perfectly flat and looked more like "ink." The mud boils more rigorously. What about Little Whirlagig Geyser? I remember that one erupting, sending what appeared to be small golf balls of water high into the air ahead of the main flume. Unless its just the video, it is noisier than I remember. It would be interesting to compare the sulfur odor. As a child, it was overwhelming. I toughed it out, but my little sister pinched her nose the entire time.
