lol. Yeah I started out buying my tools there. Got quite into it. I used to watch and wait for the 15% off coupons.
Some tools were good some were bad, at least the bad ones were an inexpensive lesson on what design choices make a good tool, so it all worked out overall. And I noticed they do upgrade some of the designs as time goes by for the better.
Sometimes even more quality and expensive doesn't work out. My two DeWalt saws I want to sell, the Miter, I should've gotten a sliding one, the table top, I hate the smaller blade design they're regulating in for safety, it's not big enough for what I want to do. I should've bought the older version. As for better than Dewalt.. I can only dream of a Sawstop.
The Wen drill press I tried.. not good, returned. The Wen detail filing sander? So far great. And too no one else makes one I can find at a decent price. The Wen benchtop band saw, returned. Eastvolt benchtop sander? Great. Probably would be best if I looked at used vintage tools for some of the big more precision things.
