Over 24 million Americans workers lost their jobs because they are
Americans working in America. The bold facts is backed up by the
figures from the U.S. Government.
Did you know that presently the U.S. Workforce is now made up
of 37% of foreign-born. And it will eventually will rise to
70% of the work force.
Unless you are very smart and a genius. I would forget taking out
any student loans that most likely will make you a debtor for the rest
of your life.

I am in a wheelchair and take a handicapped van to my appointments. They always used to send vans from a wonderful company called Wesley that gave very good service. Then they started using a new company for many of their runs which is owned by Russians. There is no requirement that this company hire Americans. There are a few American drivers. But Many are from former Soviet satellites and allies such as Ahghanistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine,Kazakhstan, etc. So what has not been sent overseas, they have imported foreigners to do and they expect us to take in Syrain refugees who are mostly Islamists not true refugees. Sigh.

a place called Derbyshire in the 1700's to Pennsylvania colony in the
1700's.
Here they still have senior buses but it costs. All the drivers are still native
born. Lucky I still have good health.

If you are speaking to me, I have never been to England in my life. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the company to which I refer is Meda-Care Transportation, Inc. I had them today. However, one bright spot. I would judge that I am not the only one asking not to ride with this company. The ramp off the lift was obviously broken and propped up with a baseball. Another part of the ramp, a flap part was duct-taped together. And the driver's log, when I signed it, showed no other trips between when this driver dropped me off and when he returned to pick me up. The first time I met this man he identified himself as a man from Kazakhstan, but today he referred to himself as Russian. I think they are telling them to call themselves Russian because many of them come from Islamic areas and Russian sounds less Muslim. The only non-American driver I had from there who may not have been Muslim was from the Ukraine.
Russians in US should be no surprise as it seems from many reports that Russian military are here in some remote places training for....what? We must have some interesting under the table deals with Russia these days regardless of the hostile picture the media keeps painting.

By the way, when we take the ordinary paratransit here called Access, we pay $7 and up, depending on distance, for a round trip. The vans I get to medical appointments are through the Council on Aging and the cost is billed to my Medicare/Medicaid MyCareOhio insurance, which is in my case through Aetna. For my husband's doctor trips and non-medical trips we must use Access, at the above described cost. Not do much when you are working, but with many doctor appointments for my husband and only disability income, it mounts up.

I know of people in my area about the age of 30 have never
worked a day in their lives. They live off public assistance.

Education for work does not go hand in hand with
being hired for the position nor does seniority matter.
I tried to get in the my field with more than enough
courses and they would rather hire someone without
experience than some one who passed more than 1

Yet Another Fabricated Jobs Report

The presstitute media report on the latest jobs report as though it showed economic strength. I will strip away the Matrix and show you reality.

According to Friday’s (January 8) payroll jobs numbers, almost 300,000 new jobs were created in December. Additionally, the previous two months were revised upward by 50,000 jobs. Apparently, the equity market did not believe the report, with the averages moving down today.
As I have pointed out almost monthly for what I think could be approaching two decades, the alleged job growth always takes place in nontradable domestic services, that is, in areas that do not produce exports and have no competition from imports. This is the job profile of a Third World country.
Twelve years ago I predicted at a major Washington, D.C., conference that was nationally televised that in 20 years the United States would have a Third World economy if jobs offshoring, which benefits only corporate executives and shareholders, continued.
Jobs offshoring has continued, and judging by the payroll jobs reports from the US government, the US is already a Third World economy.
The presstitute financial media—and what they are is a bunch of whores—always reports the alleged jobs increase as if it is a great thing, testimony to the continuing strength of the American economy, and so forth. Only a handful of us look at the data and reveal its meaning. Once again I will strip away the Matrix and show you the reality.
Allegedly, the US economy has been in recovery since, if memory serves, June 2009. If so, it is an unusual recovery. Normally, the rising job opportunities associated with economic recoveries bring entrants into the labor force, but the US labor force participation rate has been declining. In December, 2015, there are 1,185,000 fewer Americans in the labor force than in December 2014; yet, the working age population is higher today than a year ago.
The reported unemployment rate does not include “discouraged workers,” that is, workers who unable to find jobs have ceased looking for work. The reported unemployment rate of 5% only counts non-discouraged workers who are still expecting to find a job. The actual unemployment rate, that is, the rate that includes Americans who have given up hope of finding employment, is 23%. Currently, there are 94,691,000 Americans of working age who are not in the labor force. In other words, the US Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is deprived of a large percentage of its labor input.
Now, we will pay attention, unlike the financial presstitute media, to the age groups who benefited, according to the BLS, from the 292,000 December new jobs. About half of the alleged new jobs—142,000—went to the 55 years old and over age group. This age group consists primarily of retirees who have found it necessary to supplement their retirement income and of those near retirement who are working in order to compensate for the lack of interest on their savings due to the Federal Reserve’s zero interest rate policy. These are part-time, lowly paid jobs without benefits.
Americans of prime working age, 25 years old to 54 year old, only received 16,000 or 5%, of the new jobs.
Those aged 46 to 54 lost 165,000 jobs. In other words, middle aged people are losing their jobs before they can provide for their retirement.
There are 527,000 more Americans working multiple jobs in December 2015 than in December 2014.
Now, as we have done so often for many years, let’s look at the make believe jobs that the BLS claims. Almost all of them are in lowly paid domestic services, such as waitresses, bartenders, couriers and messengers, employment services, social services and health care (primarily ambulatory health care services).
The conclusion is that if we believe the payroll jobs report, the United States is now an economy that only creates Third World jobs in lowly paid domestic services.
And yet this non-economy on the verge of collapse is said by the idiots in Washington to be a super-power.

(CNSNews.com) - The number of Americans not in the labor force last month totaled 93,688,000, 374,000 fewer than the 94,062,000 not in the labor force in January--and the labor force participation rate also improved, with 62.9 percent of the civilian noninstitutional population either holding a job or actively seeking one.
In the past 12 months, the highest labor participation rate was 62.8 percent in February and May 2015; the lowest was 62.4 percent in September 2015, and that 62.4 percent was the lowest in 38 years.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics says the economy added 242,000 jobs in February (compared with a revised 172,000 in January), and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.9 percent for the second month in a row.
In February, according to the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics, the nation’s civilian noninstitutional population, consisting of all people 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 252,577,000. Of those, 158,890,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.

When President Obama took office in January 2009, 80,529,000 Americans were not participating in the labor force; since then, 14,179,000 Americans have left the workforce — some of them retiring and some just quitting because they can’t find work.
“By almost every economic measure, America is better off than when I came here at the beginning of my presidency,” President Obama told the people of Elkhart, Indiana three days ago.

The monthly jobs report are fake. It is an outrageous lie to say that the

Most are not counted as unemployed because they used up their
unemployment insurance and no long counted in the unemployment
statistics.
We have so much deliberate lying by the government, wall street

Many our manufacturing jobs have been outsourced overseas because of
all these so called free trade deals leaving service jobs such as bartenders
waitresses. Many of these jobs are low paying and mostly taken by
legal and illegal immigrants.
The only way to change this is to vote these politicians out at the next
election. And reign in these ruling oligarchs.

Underemployment is just as big of a deal as unemployment. Underemployment is more difficult to quantify, and unemployment is under-reported.

Today, one has to think out of the box to make a living. Sadly, very few people have the resilience to change as needed. To survive today one has to create his own living, work for himself. Look to South America and Third World countries like it, for an example of the future of Europe and the USA. In South America 80-90% of the people are lucky if they can find work, the other 9-19% are the common people who work for themselves (and hire others), the 1% are the rich.
Go get a job at anything that you can use to make yourself valuable in the future. Use employment as a tool to become self sufficient and start your own business. Move from job to job getting everything you can out of your employment. Consider work a paid education, so you can work for yourself. Think Third World , and forget about how it use to be.

The above is true, but it still doesn't take away that their are few jobs. If they were all hard working, their would be even fewer jobs. People should expect to be worked as slaves and left to die in a ditch when sick people were during the horrors of the industrial revolution. With euthanasia laws being what they are, they can also look forward to a quick death when they can no longer be productive. Thankfully, this world is not our final end and only temporary.

(CNSNews.com) - In its final report before next week's presidential election, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said on Friday that 94,609,000 Americans are not in the labor force, 425,000 more than last month's 94,184,000, and the second highest number on record.
The labor force participation rate dropped a tenth of a point to 62.8 percent. In other words, 62.8 percent of the non-institutionalized, civilian population over the age of 16 is either employed or are actively looking for work, while the other 37.2 percent is not working or even looking.
The number of people employeed dropped 43,000, declining from 151,968,000 in September to 151,925,000 in October; and the number of unemployed people dropped by an even greater amount, 152,000 --falling from 7,939,000 in September to 7,787,000 in October.
The October unemployment rate was 4.9 percent, down a tenth of a point from September.
When George W. Bush took office in January 2000, 69,142,000 people were not in the labor force, and when his two terms ended, the number had grown to 80,380,000.
The recession inherited by President Obama and mounting baby boom retirements are among the factors continuing to push the number up. When President Obama took office in January 2009, 80,529,000 Americans were not in the labor force, and that number has steadily risen during his two terms to its current 94-million level. The number reached a record 94,708, 000 this past May.
In other key indicators, the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics said the economy added 161,000 jobs in October, compared with a revised 191,000 in September. BLS says over the past 3 months, job gains have averaged 176,000 per month.

In October, the nation’s civilian noninstitutionalized population, consisting of all people 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 254,321,000. Of those, 151,925,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.
The 151,925,000 who participated in the labor force equaled 62.8 percent of the 254,321,000 civilian noninstitutionalized population.
The labor force participation rate started rising in the early 1970s as more women entered the labor force. It reached a record high of 67.3 percent, seasonally adjusted, in the beginning of 2000. And it dropped to a 38-year low of 62.4 percent in September 2015. Since then, it has never gone higher than 63.0 percent.
People over age 16 who are no longer working or looking for work, for whatever reason -- retirement, school, family, or they've just given up -- are not participating in the labor force.
Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rate for Hispanics declined to 5.7 percent in October, while the rates for adult men (4.6 percent), adult women (4.3 percent), teenagers (15.6 percent), Whites (4.3 percent), Blacks (8.6 percent), and Asians (3.4 percent) showed little change.
Candidates promise 'jobs'
On the campaign trail Thursday, Democrat Hillary Clinton promised to launch "the biggest job creation programs since World War II."
"We are going to invest in infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, technology and innovation. And yes, we are going to combat climate change with clean renewable energy jobs," she told a crowd in North Carolina. She also promised to be the "best president small business has ever had."
Republican Donald Trump, also speaking in North Carolina, was more specific as he promised to bring back America's "stolen" jobs:
"A Trump administration will negotiate NAFTA, and we will stand up to foreign product dumping, currency manipulation, and all unfair subsidy behavior, which is a lot," he said.
"We will also immediately stop the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership, a disaster, another disastrous potential deal. As part of our plan to bring back jobs, we're going to lower taxes on American business from 35 percent to 15 percent.
"We will also cancel billions in global warming payments to the United Nations, billions and billions of dollars. And use that money to support America's environmental and national infrastructure."
Trump also took a swipe at President Obama, now campaigning for Hillary Clinton: "Why isn't he back in the White House bringing our jobs back?" Trump asked.

So much for that much anticipated rebound in the participation rate.
After it had managed to post a modest increase in the early part of the year, hitting the highest level in one year in March at 63%, the disenchantment with working has returned, and the labor force participation rate had flatlined for the next few month, ultimately dropping in November to 62.7%, just shy of its 35 year low of 62.4% hit last October. This can be seen in the surge of Americans who are no longer in the labor force, who spiked by 446,000 in November, hitting an all time high of 95.1 million.
Historically in the 1950's to the 1970's the Labor Participation rates was as
high as 90%.
This is when there was not many women in the labor force and many were
stay home Moms.
When I was a young adult I had no problem in finding employment.

So many Americans are brainwashed by the media and the education system to believe we are guilty of all the atrocities committed in the past, and by central bankers. They believe it and so are ready to destroy their own standard of living and way of life, to make amends for it. It is now politically correct to hate your own white skin and white wealth. The brainwashing has been very good, indeed.

In Disappearing Routine Jobs: Who, How, and Why? economists from USC, UBC and Manchester University docuмent how the automation of "routine" jobs (welders, bank tellers, etc) that pay middle class wages has pushed those workers out of the job market entirely, or pushed them into low-paying, insecure employment.
The study links the phenomenon of unemployment with automation -- an obvious-seeming connection -- by establishing a causal relationship that goes beyond mere correlation: people stop working because robots take their jobs. Robots don't just co-occur with unemployment, they cause it.
The share of Americans working in routine jobs has fallen from 40.5% in 1979 to 31.2% in 2014, according to the paper. The federal government’s official measure of Americans age 16 and over who are working or seeking work has fallen from a recent high of 67.3% in 2000 to 62.7% in November 2016.
“Routine jobs are disappearing and more and more prime-age Americans aren’t working,” said Mr. Siu. “These things are two sides of the same coin.”

Amazon's New Robots Run Supermarket Will Phrase Out Human Employees

Imagine a 10,000 to 40,000 square foot, two-story supermarket that employs only a few people. The glut of the workforce is robots. A small army of them toils away on the second floor, where they furiously bag items for the customers browsing below. According to a report by the New York Post, this is the prototype of a near-future Amazon supermarket, a colossal version of the new Amazon “Go” convenience store that uses no cashiers or checkouts. And it’s another example of how automation’s already rapid encroachment on the human job market has gone into overdrive.
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos wants his automated grocery store to feature a ground level where shoppers can touch and physically select items — typical food products that people like to touch, beer, fruit, etc. This floor may also feature a pharmacy, which would be a new but financially promising sector for the company, and human “greeters” who double as shoplifter deterrents.
Some of these stores, Bezos believes, will be able to operate with as few as three human employees and a maximum of ten. They will function mostly as menial clerks, signing people up to Amazon “Fresh,” restocking shelves, managing the drive-thru, and even assisting the robots. One almost gets the impression the store could go completely sans human employees if Amazon didn’t mind the stigma. Perhaps that’s where we’re headed — and sooner rather than later.
The monetary advantage is clear: with a meager payroll and optimized real-estate, the Amazon model stands to generate an operating profit margin of 20 percent. According to the Food Marketing Institute, the industry average is 1.7 percent. If those numbers hold, you can say goodbye to the human grocery clerk.
This isn’t the first attempt at an automated grocery store. In 2015, the group Eater Greater Des Moines began work creating an automated store kiosk. Even as far back as 1937, the completely automated store Keedoozle (as in “key does all”) launched in three locations before failing due to technical difficulties.
With human cashiers already rapidly losing their jobs to automated kiosks in many grocery stores, it seems there has been a steady shift away from human labor in grocery stores. The Amazon robot supermarket model would expedite that shift by replacing most of the clerks with robots.
Amazon deferring to technology over people should come as no surprise to those who have followed the company closely. In 2012, Amazon dropped $775 million acquiring the company Kiva for the purposes of robotic warehouse automation. And, of course, there’s the legendary delivery-by-drone plan — featured in a Super Bowl ad over the weekend — that hovers inexorably in our near future.
Additional reports suggest the Amazon supermarkets may only be available to those with Amazon “Prime” memberships. A source says this restriction may help reduce theft because, “In the view of Amazon, people who can afford Prime memberships aren’t likely to shoplift.

A study by a British think tank, Reform, says that 90% of British civil service workers have jobs so pointless, they could easily be replaced by robots, saving the government around $8 billion per year.
The study, published this week, says that robots are “more efficient” at collecting data, processing paperwork, and doing the routine tasks that now fall to low-level government employees. Even nurses and doctors, who are government employees in the UK, could be relieved of some duties by mechanical assistants.
There are “few complex roles” in civil service, it seems, that require a human being to handle.
“Twenty percent of public-sector workers hold strategic, ‘cognitive’ roles,” Reform’s press release on the study says. “They will use data analytics to identify patterns—improving decision-making and allocating workers most efficiently.
“The NHS, for example, can focus on the highest risk patients, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions. UK police and other emergency services are already using data to predict areas of greatest risk from burglary and fire.”
The problem, Reform says, is that public sector employee unions have bloated the civil service ranks, forcing government agencies to keep on older employees, and mandating hiring quotas for new ones. The organizational chart looks like a circuit board—and there’s no incentive to streamline anything.
Unfortunately for civil service workers, it seems the study is just the latest in a series of research that won’t save their jobs. Oxford University and financial services provider Deloitte, both of whom comissioned their own studies concur with Reform‘s conclusions. The Oxford University study said that more than 850,000 public sector jobs could fall to robots over the course of the next decade.
Reform suggests that government employees should probably look into opportunities presented by the “sharing economy,” like driving for Uber – at least until robots replace those, too.

For the last several years, the Free Thought Project has been predicting what will happen as government continued to arbitrarily fix wages across the US. As politicians deceive their constituents into thinking financial success can come through an act of legislation, employers will find a way to offset this cost. It will either come through higher prices or, in this most recent Wendy’s case — robots.
To offset the costs of being forced to pay employees $15 an hour, Bob Wright, Wendy’s Chief Operating Officer told investors last week Wendy’s has found a solution. In the past two years, Wright noted, Wendy’s has figured out how to eliminate 31 hours of labor per week from its restaurants and is now working to use technology, such as kiosks, to increase efficiency.
The automated kiosks serve two purposes: they give younger customers an ordering experience that they prefer, and they reduce labor costs.
“There is a huge amount of pull from (franchisees) in order to get them,” David Trimm, Wendy’s chief information officer, said last week during the company’s investors’ day.
“With the demand we are seeing … we can absolutely see our way to having 1,000 or more restaurants live with kiosks by the end of the year
The spike in demand stems from restaurant owners who want to maintain low prices while sustaining profitability.
A typical store would get three kiosks for about $15,000. Trimm estimated the payback on those machines would be less than two years, thanks to labor savings and increased sales. Customers still could order at the counter.
Kiosks are where the industry is headed, but Wendy’s is ahead of the curve, said Darren Tristano, vice president with Technomic, a food-service research and consulting firm.
“They are looking to improve their automation and their labor costs, and this is a good way to do it,” Tristano said. “They are also trying to enhance the customer experience. Younger customers prefer to use a kiosk.”
While Wendy’s is ahead of the curve as far as outsourcing labor to robots goes, other fast food restaurants are not far behind.
Last month, the Free Thought Project reported on McDonald’s latest attempt to stave off minimum wage hikes. However, unlike Wendy’s kiosks that simply take your order, the McDonald’s machines do it all — including spitting out a piping hot, 563 calorie, Big Mac.
While automation in the labor market is inevitable as technology increases, laws that dictate minimum wages only serve to speed up this automation. Sadly, many people will read this article and immediately assume that it’s some fascist right wing rant that ignores the plight of the working class. However, that assessment couldn’t be further from the truth.
Raising the minimum wage does nothing to protect the working class. In fact, as we see with these Wendy’s robots, a mandatory minimum wage destroys the working class.
As Nobelist Milton Friedman correctly quipped, “A minimum wage law is, in reality, a law that makes it illegal for an employer to hire a person with limited skills.”
If the economic effects of a minimum wage aren’t convincing enough, perhaps consider the racist background of such laws. As Andrew Syrios points out, most Americans have no clue about the racist intentions and subsequent effects of the original minimum wage.
When Apartheid was collapsing in South Africa, the economist Walter Williams did a study of South African labor markets and found that many white unions were seeking to increase the minimum wage. He quotes one such union leader as saying “… I support the rate for the job (minimum wages) as the second best way of protecting white artisans.” By pricing out less educated black laborers with a minimum wage, white unions were able to insulate themselves from competition.
Indeed, the Davis-Bacon Act, which demands that private employers pay “prevailing wages” for any government contracts, was explicitly passed as a Jim Crow law in order to protect white jobs from cheaper black competitors. And while the minimum wage is supported with much more pleasant rhetoric these days, the effects on black employment, particularly black teenage employment, have been devastating. As Thomas Sowell observes,
In 1948 … the unemployment rate among black 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds was 9.4 percent, slightly lower than that for white kids the same ages, which was 10.2 percent. Over the decades since then, we have gotten used to unemployment rates among black teenagers being over 30 percent, 40 percent or in some years even 50 percent.
It’s hard to imagine that black unemployment was actually less than that of whites. But that is the effect minimum wage laws can have.
Ending poverty and giving people additional income are praiseworthy goals, but there are no free lunches in this world. And trying to force prosperity through a minimum wage simply creates a whole host of negative and unintended consequences especially for those who are the most vulnerable.

I dont get the feeling mnay in Congress are listening to the ideas of the People, who of course know more about certain things than the elite in WA. One thing that needs to go is this endless assistance.
it would be cheaper if people in need were just given a small cabin to live in. Then they would have that need provided and they could work on a job, getting food, etc.... I know it is a strange thing to say and i am being a little... unserious but you have to agree that that would, in the long run, be much, much cheaper than the system we have now... where people can get low income housing, food stamps, etc... for a very lengthy period of time.. There is no incentive to work... I am not talking about people who have serious disabilities...
