  • The only criticism I have of the video is at the very end -- he implies that everyone uses electricity to some degree, even small, old-fashioned communities like the Amish.

Take Shofar Mountain for example (the group in the Ozarks led by Pastor Joe Fox). Yes, they have a few solar panels to charge their phones and laptops, but guess what? If those solar panels were all destroyed in an EMP, it wouldn't affect their SURVIVAL. Pastor Joe would just have to end his Youtube career. Big deal!

The narrator makes no distinction between "using a bit of electricity because why not?" and dependence on electricity for survival itself (food heating, warmth, water, etc.)

Let's put it another way: who wouldn't want access to the Grid for all the conveniences it offers? While it's there, enjoy it! The issue is whether or not you are dependent on that Grid -- or, are you prepared for the day the Grid is taken away from us.

I certainly want to have the equipment and knowledge to take down trees with an axe. But until I have to, I'd be stupid NOT to use 1 gallon of gasoline (cost: $2) which represents 15-20 man hours of work, and a chainsaw to do the same job in 10 minutes instead of 10 hours.

Did you know that? A gallon of gas is so energy-dense, it represents a ridiculous amount of work. Where else can you get 15 man-hours of work for $2? Even slaves cost more than that (you have to feed them!)

  • Not bad, but the video is, also, wrong about many people freezing to death in the winter. If a person has reasonable shelter such as a home or apartment, which is the norm with most people, they won't freeze to death. It will be extremely uncomfortable and cold, but they won't freeze to death, even in sustained arctic-like weather conditions, as long as they remain bundled in layers of clothes and stay within close quarters and a confined area to help trap in body heat.

Also, the elite in government won't die. They've already prepared for a "reset" event with their underground bunkers and devices that can withstand an EMP. They're counting on mass depopulation as they survive in comfortable, protected isolation. They want the "reset" event to happen. They're the ones who will cause it, not "Iran" as the video implies.

Lots of people have basements as well ... and it's nearly impossible to freeze to death in a basement.
