I played piano from third till fifth grade and bass from sixth grade until the end of high school.

I find many of your posts fine, but the accusation we are all broading Jansenits is just tiring to me.....anyone else??

Same. Many people have this mistaken idea that Jansenism was a hard-right movement; it was not, it was more mixed, at least that's what it became. For instance, early feminist tendencies could be found within the Jansenists.

In reference to another point you made Belloc, I'm not so sure that Jansenism should be called Catholic Calvinism. Yes, these two heterdox beliefs did have many similarities when it comes to soteriology, but there are also some major differences, i.e. frequent communion.

raoul obsesses over NFP/Sex. CM cannot discuss almost anything without debating SV, and you my friend are rather tiring in your hurled accusations that we all are Jansenists!

Jansenism is basically a form of Catholic calvinism and that particualr prot school of thought is repulsive to me, please see my other posts, inc the one I posted today in the general section about the scottish island.

if you do not like the forum, that is your affair....you can quit though with calumny against the rest of us who are here to debate, discuss and learn.perhaps a forum of your own, Pot Smoker Catholic Who Think They are not Slaves to the NWO (yet pot is used to control masses too) or the site MK Ultra and Not Knowing it, But Loving It...

It is a characteristic of those suffering from MPD that they are not even aware of it themselves. MJ is an antidote to this dilema and is one reason  slaves are forbidden to partake. Just another reason why God blesses this wonder drug.

No one has yet shown a Church or Biblical Authority for the prohibition of any green herb and no one ever will. Those who use their own individual authority to be obsessed with the prohibition of this substance are at least tending towards Jansenism. The heresy is indeed a left wing philosophy masquerading as right and this is of course the problem.

I play the piano and the organ well, and I am trying to teach myself how to play the alto recorder at the moment. I'm also trying to find someone to teach me how to play a Vietnamese instrument that is sort of like a violin with only one string. I think that I may try to teach myself guitar as well. I've also played a real harpsichord once!  :smirk:

Does anyone else play anything or sing?

only one string!? how many different notes can it play?
I play the keyboard as well Spouse, and I like to make up stuff sometimes too. The most complicated song I know is Moonlight Sonata. I don't practice all that much anymore. I can play one tune on the bass guitar, but only because my friend showed me. I also bought a metal flute for 12 bucks at a rummage sale. I've learned the basic fingering, but I haven't taken the time to learn any songs yet. I should learn yankee doodle or something, lol.
