CM is gettiing more and more like Raoul every day. At first he understood my MJ argument to be Biblical and supported my interpretation:

I hope that is calumny and not true.

Quote from: Genesis 9:3
And every thing that moveth and liveth shall be meat for you: even as the green herbs have I delivered them all to you:

Every green herb was created good by God.  That's a given.  I won't argue against that point.  But I wouldn't use the above passage from Scripture as justification for getting high.  I can possibly see it as justification for using the dried leaves sparingly as a spice or something.

I mean, would you smoke basil or bay leaves?  No.  Cilantro or chives?  Dill?  Mint?  Oregano?  Parsley?  Rosemary?  Sage, tarragon or thyme?  I didn't think so roscoe.

So if you use your marijuana in the SAME QUANTITY and in the SAME WAY that you use the other GREEN HERBS and not like some  :bob-marley:, then not only will you never get high, but you will be consistent, by using your green herb in a manner that green herbs have always been used.

I don't think anyone would have a right to condemn such usage since THAT does indeed seem to follow from Scripture.  Pot smoking on the other hand, certainly does NOT.

Good evening.

In this I agree with you - sage when consumed in large amounts causes one to "get high" as does nutmeg (it causes hallucinations).  In doses used in food this effect does not occur.  However, all it takes is one inhalation of marijuana for the will to be altered (even if only slightly).

...and I am trying to teach myself how to play the alto recorder at the moment.

That would account for the clef in your avatar at the moment, then, Vladimir. :)

Does anyone else play anything or sing?

Folk/classical guitar, but I'm rather out of practice.
