  • Low on slugs or '00' buckshot, etc? Economy collapsed? Threatened with invasion? Need to hunt bigger game? Try this:

I can't say I'd actually try this with my Mossberg before I actually needed to, as I'd be weary of using ammo in a way that it wasn't intended to be used. But if I needed to, this is a good one to store in the back of my cranium I think.

  • I'm also going to look into if this tactic is specific to double-barreled shotguns or not...

  • Watched the video. "Cut shells in a nutshell."

Video demonstrations are a good way to learn about guns. It's like you're right there.

It's mentioned that single barrel works: http://www.go2gbo.com/forums/index.php?topic=178695.0

  • I'd be very careful with any improvised ammunition.  Especially on anything that might get jammed up.

  • Wow.

I will have to remember that one.

Still not sure I understand how it works, but the end result is impressive.

When the power explodes the front of the cartridge containing the shot holds together because the gas escapes through the cut - the front of the cartridge is shot out intact.

So is it the plastic that does the damage, or is it the pellets, or does it all hold together to o the damage?

Yes, I think its the pellets. The cutting, I believe, gives a more accurate, concentrated, and powerful hit I believe.

  • I accidentally hit some button, and all of the sudden was taken to a screen that said, "You will no longer have to read any post by s2srea."

    This was accidental.

Does anyone know how I can un-do this???
