A sniper is randomly killing people in the San Antonio, Texas area. Local authorities are trying to suppress the story to avoid affecting the tourism industry, but the latest victim WAS a tourist, so that's becoming more difficult:

An East Texas high school coach was shot and killed while sitting outside at a San Antonio downtown patio bar Monday night.

San Antonio police say the shooting happened around midnight Monday at Smoke Skybar in the 500 block of East Crockett Street.

The woman was identified as 28-year-old Jasper High School coach Ayden Burt. Jasper ISD Superintendent John Seybold released a statement on Facebook after the shooting.

A preliminary police report states that Burt was sitting on the patio with her back facing the highway when a gunshot was heard. She was struck on her right rear shoulder.

EMS responded to the location and took her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Seybold said Burt has been working for Jasper ISD since 2019 and taught English for Jasper High School and Jasper Jr. High. She was also the cheer sponsor and coach, Seybold said.

Police said it’s unclear why Burt was shot and they have not located any suspects.

No arrests have been made. So, if you are in San Antonio, expect more shootings of this sort. Random, from the highways, toward buildings and people. SA cops are not the most competent, so, this case might not be solved for a while, if ever.
