Selling bullets may be the most secure job in Florida as long as supplies last. Selling bullets may be the most secure job in Florida as long as supplies last. After months of heavy buying, gun dealers across the state are experiencing shortages. Some say it began with the election of President Barack Obama.

My Wal-Mart is virtually sold out every time I go in there to stock up. Over the last year I have been going in about once a month to buy $100 worth.

Out of work? Go into the reload business

Also have friends who have built secret underground vaults for their weapons.

First the soapbox, then the ballot, then the courts and finally when they all fail, the bullets ...

Only the One, the Messiah, the One that walks on water could find a way to turn lead into a precious metal.

Shouldn't we be talking about cartridges here? I have never seen bullets for sale at a Wal Mart.

Bullets? I thought they were cartridges, but then i'm not a newspaper reporter.

#1, It's funny you should mention that. My job as a contractor for the government has been Obaminated, and I'll be on the steet in two weeks. My backup plan is to get into the reloading business. When I go to gun shows, ammo is the biggest and hottest seller. By the end of the first day all the common (.38, .40, 9mm, and .357) are all gone. It's a lucrative enterprise right now.

    The three boxes of politics
    Soap box
    Ballot box
    Ammo box

I've been telling everybody that a prudent person would be stocking up on:

    Food
    Water
    Ammunition

At first it was regarded as stuff of "cranks". Now all of my ex-military friends and many conservatives are quietly getting stashes of food, water, and ammo.

People with AR type weapons should have no less than 2000 rounds. Bolt action weapons should have no less than 1000 rounds. Your family should have no less than 90 days of food per person. Water requirement vary from region to region. South Western state residents will need a stash.

It will get critical about six to eight months from now. It will hit no later than October.

I'm with you 4 and 10. It's three weeks old and I'm fed up with the Obama revolution, but thinking more and more about the (first) American revolution.

The correct terminology, according to my NRA shooting instructor, is "ammunition".

Yesterday, I purchased a new Springfield Arms XDM 9MM pistol; 19 in the mag and 1 in the chamber.

    I am the NRA.

So this is what Obama is trying to
    stimualate, a revolution. Egads!

Isn't that what Lenin stimulated in 1917?

I joined the NRA the night of the election, and just like #14 I bought an XD 9mm last month. Now I need to find a way to afford a .45 and more ammo.

You people are encouraging me that the real America is not lost - just waiting. I hope we can stay pals with the Russians long enough that I don't run short on 7.62
