Never yelled at the dog. I cursed the situation.
I apologize for the misunderstanding.  I can only imagine how frustrating the situation must have been for you.

Yeah, that's why I said "when He sees us in such a state", meaning sin (allegorically, the dog covered in excrement) not that He has repugnance at our repentance.
I didn't think I would need to elaborate on this.

You said "when He sees us in such a state and cleanses us through Confession and the Blessed Sacrament":

Quote from: DigitalLogos
The repugnance I felt while having to clean this dumb beast is not unlike the same repugnance Our Lord has when He sees us in such a state and cleanses us through Confession and the Blessed Sacrament.

And you said that you felt it "while having to clean this dumb beast".

That's what you said. Not my fault.

Okay. Well, I'm not really going to debate the nuances and deficiencies of what I wrote. I just thought it was a funny allegory to share because it showed me how God works even in seemingly mundane inconveniences like this. But, okay, you win.

You win: grab yourself a beer from the fridge!

Thanks. I will forever have this mental image while on line for Confession.
