Last year, the crisis in the Gulf of Mexico, that is still on going despite being
dropped from the news.
This year, Fukushima crises that is spreading radiation all over the
world.
I wonder what awaits us next year, just stay tune.
However, what ever happens, will have nothing to do with the mayan
calender.

The Gregorian Calendar is obviously more accurate than the mayan but I do not believe the latter is completely worthless. The 26 000 yr cycle corresponds to the precession of the Earth's axis.

I have seen at least one Catholic prophesy that relates to 2012.

Back in April, Philadelphia reported a spike in radioactive iodine levels in the drinking water. In May, they reported that they didn't know how it got there, but it had "probably" been there since 2007. Then last week they reported that infant deaths have increased 50% in the last few months and the suspect is the drinking water parents use to mix the babies formula.
