Lately, the mood around here seems to favor the idea that December 2012 will bring about something horrifying in regards to a Divine Chastisement. However, what about the prophecy's of that German mystic that seem to have been floating around the forum lately?

Are the 3 Days of Darkness supposed to take place before all of that happens? Isn't there going to be a war, etc?

The true reason I ask is that I've lately been very concerned about the possibility of a December 2012 chastisement. I'll be away from home and will be expected to return for Christmas, however I'd rather just wait out the Christmas season and may return home to visit later in early 2013 because it seems like such a hassle to prepare for a possible chastisement and then relocate (via airplane) right before it's scheduled to occur!

I would day prepare for whatever is to come, but don't let it dictate your life. That is, go about life normally, only take time to make extra precautions if you can. I sort of come to think focusing in on a date can be a mistake.

Only God knows for certain when the chastisement will come. It could come in 2012, it could come in 2013, or it could even be another 10 years before it comes. Again, only God knows when it will occur.

All we know is that it will happen during the winter, on a cold Thursday night.

My advice is as St. Francis (I think, it was he) was asked what he would do if he knew the world would end tomorrow. He said, he would continue to till his soil, as was the project he was involved in at the time.

Are you sure that was St. Francis? I have heard that story told in sermons and the way I remember the story was that it was an old monk answering a young newbie monk's question of what he would do were he to know that he would die in the next 15 minutes.

It certainly could've been St. Francis, since I believe that would be the answer that many if not all of the saints would give to that question.

It is also the philosophy taught by St. Louis Marie de Montfort in the book True Devotion to Mary in which he teaches the devotion of Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary, emphasizing the importance and efficacy of offering our prayers and daily duties to Jesus through Mary. Well, if the "2 days of darkness" warning is legitimate, we should know sometime in November if we can be expecting a chastisement on the scale of the 3DD this year.

Curiously, didn't someone say that the 3 Days will end on a Sunday that is Christmas day? Christmas day falls on a Tuesday this year. According to a quick internet search, the next time Christmas day falls on a Sunday is 2016 - again not very far away.

Pretty much all Prophecies of the 3DD are in agreement that it will occur on a cold, Thursday night during the winter. Padre Pio said the same thing, I believe.
