Today, as yesterday, and the day before that, I made the sign of the cross before I began my lunch, in a room filled with about 30 people. (Lunch was brought in by the Management, except today- we went out to Micky D's to purchase our own). On this, day three, one of the instructors, (they're all Jєωιѕн), started to make 'tiny' comments about his Jєωιѕнness and how he found it 'odd' that there were 'foot rests' in a Catholic Church he'd gone too, for some reason. (no doubt to hint at my public statement of being Catholic). Then he and his 'J. Friends', concocted an 'interpretation' for making the sign of the cross, and he proceeded to tell what they thought it meant: "spectacles, testicles, pens and pencils". He laughed and suddenly turned 'red'
when most of the 30 of us didn't find it 'amusing'. ( I found it 'curious' as to how many 'claimed the Catholic Faith' late into 3 days and not even caring about making the sign of the cross before meals.)
He then proceeded to "get back on track" by suggesting where we would prospect. He suggested "advertisements in Bulletins at Catholic Churches". He went on to tell us of his encounter with a "priest" who told him he "didn't need to convert" after revealing he was Jєωιѕн in his conversation with the 'priest'. I "piped up" to tell him he needed to, and if looks could tell a thousand words;
you would have to have seen it yourself! It was 'stunning' and he was 'red' in face color
. And whats more: he is a really great 'sales leader' and I told him how the Jews got the idea of answering a question with a question. I suggested he read the exchange between Our Lord and Pontius Pilot. Most notable in "Passion of the Christ", the movie.
So, that is my story to share this day from my 'new school'.
