I always liked that movie. The first time I saw it was nearly 50 years ago.

Looks like a cool movie, but I'm curious what you think the significance of this is, if any, i.e. why did you post it?

Whoa. Just got to the part where he's in the hardware store and buys a 1911 with cash, no paperwork, nothing, as if it were a screwdriver or a hammer. And that's presented as totally normal. My jaw crashed all the way down. The world has changed so much since 1962, and not for the better. :(

EDIT: Wait, I spoke too soon. A minute later the store owner starts talking about a background check and waiting period or something. I guess this garbage started early in California. They certainly are still ahead of most other states in this regard. ::)
