Not sure if you know it or not, but words with altered text letters that only logged in forum members can read, which were intended to escape google searches and the eye of the SPLC, et al, are now visible on google.
-
Just tell Matthew.
How did you figure this out? Does google know what the altered text words mean or just that they exist as typed?
Really I'm not surprised. Anyone monitoring this site can take a few minutes to feed this info into google if their AI hasn't been engineered to pick up on it.

Google didn't pick it up after it was first programmed (roughly 5 years ago?). I just discovered it now when doing a google search on a CathInfo topic, and I was surprised to see the text and apropos threads listed. I don't know how long they've been visible.

It would be easy for Google to do a 1-for-1 substitution on common "characters" that look like normal (roman) letters.
Basically a "lowest hanging fruit" attempt to de-obfuscate common obfuscations. They'd be stupid not to.
ω -> w
etc.
I moved some threads into Members Only. But those threads will be in Google for some time. Oh well, maybe it will drive yet MORE traffic here.

Besides the character substitutions, perhaps consider these:
Why does it require two "returns" to obtain a new line?
Why does a simple "paste" result in a different font at a larger size?

Both of those things are quirks/bugs with the plug-in I paid for to improve the post editing function (yes, this is the IMPROVED version).
I didn't write the software in question, and I am totally passive and helpless with what they give me. I can only hope they improve it over the years AND I get the $50 to renew my updates. But I really don't think they update it very often, which is why I let the updates lapse most of the time.
