Title: Nice to have a reminder
Post by: Iuvenalis on November 01, 2012, 01:12:47 PM
Nice to have a real-world reminder since our last reminder in 05 w/Katrina

 http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/11/01/tensions-boil-over-at-gas-stations-as-pumps-run-dry-in-wake-sandy/

Here they are getting angry and fighting already.

A)Imagine if this had gone on 2 weeks instead of 2 days. Or 2 months instead...

B)Imagine if it was *food* rather than gas they were having a hard time getting/finding. It'd be more than heated disagreements and a fistfight or two.

I really need to fork out the 100 bucks for a water filtration system!

What's funny is I was speaking to a cousin the other day, and learned he was quite the prepper, and had a plan of action and everything! He had gas stored up to make it  to his parents, who lived on a good street, and he has a few assault rifles and tactical shotguns to share to defend his street, not to mention stored gas he says he rotates (I guess it helps that he and father own a few AMPM's too lol).

I would obtain 14 days worth of drinking water before buying a water filtration system.

FEMA should not be criticized. It always takes time for water and supplies to be distributed to citizens. Often there is not even gas available for citizens this early, and when it becomes available it is only for essential people. This is the same as Katrina, people with no clue how long things takes are criticizing the response effort.

First in a short term emergency do you want to drink filtered water from who knows where or Aquafina bottles?

Secondly there is the toliet tank and the hot water heater, but imagine something happens and nothing comes out of your tap, what are you going to drink? The national guard will be set up to give out water but it takes time and most likely you will have to leave your home and use gas to get it.

FEMA should be criticized. There is absolutely no excuse for FEMA's botched response to Hurricane Katrina. This time, they responed right away, but then just sort of let the areas fend for themselves after a few days. They have always done a lame job.

And more importantly, FEMA is often considered to be "the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr's army". The FEMA cσncєnтrαтισn cαмρs all across the nation are why, those are where we're going to end up one day. FEMA is a joke, and a tool of the NWO.

SS you don't know what you are talking about as far as their response. They responded before Katrina too, help is staged in areas before the storm. They tell people to prepare for 72 hours/2 weeks. Because they are not there  24 hours later handing out water bottles to citizens does not mean they have not responded.

I do know what I'm talking about. I have studied the details regarding Hurricane Katrina and the storm's aftermath for seven years. FEMA did nothing, just like they always do. The only thing that has changed is now FEMA does a lot of talking, to make it look like they're doing something when they really aren't. As the old saying goes: "Talk is cheap".

I don't consider sending troops to New Orleans to shoot at looters to be doing anything. And furthermore, the US government knew for years about the flaws in the design of "MR-GO" and did nothing about it. Although Katrina would have been an unprecedented disaster either way, the horrific aftermath could have been prevented if not for the government's lazy response.

I agree with Ron Paul that FEMA should be done away with. They do nothing, and are a tool of the nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr.

FEMA does a great deal.  The DMAT teams and national guard I saw at the hospital were not real, just my imagination.

You won't think so highly of FEMA when the government throws all of us in FEMA camps.
