Is it not possible for botanists to determine what sort of seeds these are? Possibly DNA analysis if all else fails?
People in Indiana have been receiving them as well. Hoosiers have been asked to send them to the Purdue extention offices (having to do with the Agriculture Department) and not throw them away. They want to identify the seeds. The spokesman said that many seeds are very similar so one can't necessarily identify them with certainty just by looking at them. They intend to grow them in a controlled environment and see what comes up. The plants
can be easily and cheaply identified.
