This forum has been so generous and saved me and my family as we had one ailment after another. For this reason I turn to you again. If you’re able to help with the final expenses for an incredibly hardworking and selfless man — my father-in-law Eddie, who passed away today — it would make the difference. He spent his entire life working tirelessly for just $6 a day to provide for his family. His family has no savings and will receive no death benefit or social security. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated. Please pray for the repose of the Soul of Eddie Gregorio.

Fiona is the youngest in the family and Eddie's youngest child. She is 15 now and in High School. She was the last one to see Eddie alive.
Fiona woke up at 5:30am to be at school at 6 and she came to her dads bed and noticed he was sweating so she got a wet washcloth and wiped his face. Then she sat with him holding his hand silently for a while before going to school. Eddie passed away an hour later.
I just thought there was some deep meaning in this story. Fiona lived with my wife and I for more than a year when we first married and I will always kinda think of her as a daughter even though shes my kid sister in law. I'm so glad she was there for Eddie at the end.
Here's an old picture of Fiona and my Oldest son.

Stop with the $ requests, man. You’re a scam artist. You’re not going to get to heaven lying to people for $. You better change your life.

I have posted my real name and location and proof of everything that I have said. You are now guilty of the serious sin of calumny and slander for publicly accusing another catholic of completely false accusations. Go to confession.
Not only sinful I think your post might be illegal.
My name is James Cowan and my wife is Roselyn Gregorio Cowan And her father Eddie Gregorio Died June 17 2025. This and everything else I have ever said on this forum or when fundraising is 100% true.
If you would like to post your real name Pax Vobis we can go to court and I will easily prove everything I said and prove that you are the one who needs to change their life.
I am sorry for the good and holy people who have helped and prayed for us that you had to see this ugliness.

Doubt it.

If you do not have proof that another man is lying and scamming you do not publicly accuse him of lying and scamming. It is sinful and possibly illegal. Shame on you!
We have had an incredibly tough year and we are very thankful for the good people of this forum who helped us through it. Why don't you just find your way out of this thread.
I have posted, countless pictures and medical records, proving all of the Ailments that me and my wife suffered this past year. I guess now you would like to see my father-in-law's death certificate? You're ridiculous.
I posted this because a lot of people on this forum were incredibly generous, and the family has no way to pay for his funeral and no savings to live off now. The man was working for six dollars a day, his whole life in the Philippines.

I understand that there comes a point when even good people just can't give anything anymore because they've already given everything they can give. I've been in the hospital multiple times in the past few months but I closed down the GoFundMe for my family and didn't ask anyone for money anymore because, even though we need it, enough was enough with the asking.
I understand that.
I just thought that since my in-laws are in such a desperate situation and people on this form were so generous to my wife and I before I would try and see if they could help.
I was incredibly hesitant to ask you guys again for money for my extended family's needs today, but I didn't really know what else to do and I thought it was worth a shot.
You guys are really really good people and I understand how much you've helped us and I won't post asking for anything ever again.

Yes, please stop asking here. It’s better to ask people you know in real life (ie family, friends, church members). To me, you’re just a random person asking for $. I will pray for you but I don’t believe you. Good luck.

You are not behaving like a Catholic adult. You're behaving like a child. I don't care if you believe me. I care that you did not publicly accuse me of fraud with no evidence. You need to go to confession for false accusations that were completely baseless. This is serious. We are talking about grave sin.
I would also like a public apology. You need to present proof that I am "scamming people for money" as you posted, or retract your statement.

Imagine we were at your church and a man at your church was asking for money to help with his father-in-law's funeral cost, and you went up to him and said "I don't believe you." With no proof that he was lying about anything.
That would be absurd.
Now imagine that you said to him, "you are scamming people for money." Again, you have absolutely no proof.
After your parish priest smacked you in the face, the man who you accused falsely might sue you For public defamation.
I have posted my real name and location and multiple family pictures on this website. Just because you are anonymous does not mean I am. And your IP is logged with every post as it says at the bottom so it would be easy for the police to find your name and address. You are publicly accusing me of fraud and it is not on.
The Internet is real life Especially if you're talking to people who are completely posting with a real identity.
You need to apologize.

Ask family friends and church members? You just said I was scamming people for money. So do you want me to scam church members or are you abandoning your baseless allegations against me without the decency of acknowledging it?
Why would you want me to ask for funds elsewhere if I really was a scammer?

 One should *normally* ask people for money from their community, because these people *know* you. Nobody on this site *knows* you in real life. It is very easy to create a fake story online. I'm sorry you don't understand this.
I already told you that I was praying for you.

You said I was "scamming people for money." Are you still saying that or not?
You should apologize if you're no longer saying that.
If you are still saying that, please provide proof.
I have already provided proof of telling the truth through photos and medical docuмents uploaded to this site.

Do you think that's an adequate response?
Are you still accusing me of a crime or not?
