  • Short version: Japan disaster will decimate world economy; the one thing accountants & economists can't fudge is EARNINGS REPORTS; the first 3-month fiscal quarter results will be in by July.

Increasing price of oil, and failure of bailouts in Europe will also play a role.

  • Well, it is July...

This collapse is a process, not an event...which is not to say there have not been or will not be notable events along the way.

We will have to see if the Fed goes for QE3, etc., before some aspects of the ongoing collapse are more clearly manifested.

At the end of the day, we can be sure that things are not going to return to "normal" -- and that, IMO, is a good thing.  As difficult and potentially-dangerous as these times are, this is an amazing time to be alive.  Hold fast :)

  • FWIW, I think Ruppert is correct to have focussed on July, insofar as the Q2 reports will soon be out.  The numbers are likely to be rather ugly.  However, since up is down these days, maybe terrible numbers will case the markets to wax euphoric...who can tell anymore?

  • Raising the debt ceiling (Which was always a fore-ordained conclusion, despite the fake debate surrounding it to give it the appearance of a well thought out fiscal policy) is the new QE3 by another name.

The government wants to borrow a lot more money.

The Fed wants to print a lot more money.

    Deeper defecit spending.

This results in inflation and currency debasement.

How is that any different than QE3?

  • Why are we not surprised when we read things of doom, it is going to happen sooner or later.

Why should God bless the world, just look at it!

Sin today is what sells, sin is IN!

If you are someone who is trying to keep the word of God, you are looked at as wierd, especially if you are young.

At my age I can get away with my ideals, "they" just say, oh she won't be around much longer and who will listen to these elderly with their old fashioned ideas.

My prayers go out for the Catholic youth of today, and I don't mean novus ordor catholics, who are catholic in name only, most of them are following along with the novelties and modernism they are taught.  They will fit just perfectly in the world.  Yes, they need prayers too, but my thoughts are with those younger people who are trying to hold on to the Faith and trying to make a living in this sinful world.

    Please pray for my soul.

It is very hard to go to work knowing you'll be around people who are blatently evil.

  • I feel for all of you who face the evil people, could this be why some of the Saints said that the Catholics living during the great apostasy (end times) will be greater Saints than earlier Saints?

It makes sense. Why else would we have been given access to so many indulgences by the Church? I mean each Hail Mary of the Rosary has nearly 2000 days worth of indulgences attached to them! And considering the fact that God gives the sufficient graces we need for our salvation and perfection, I think that says a lot about what kind of arena we've been pushed into, and how wicked our generations are in comparison with the former, and how often or how seriously we sin today.
