Al Gore and co. would find a way to turn this into a global warming issue and blame the capitalistic system for not having a preventative solution.  He would then find a way to tax people for breathing this toxic air to keep it from happening again.

Al Gore IS a capitalist. He's not a major shareholder of BP (British Petroleum) for nothing.
