  • For about $25 one may purchase Gordon West's Technician level exam guide. A few evenings will allow anyone to pass the entry level ham exam.

    After passing the easy exam, for about $45 one may purchase an inexpensive but perfectly serviceable Baofeng radio and get on the air.
