DAILYKENN.com -- The governor of Michigan said church attendance will be banned unless you vote for Biden.

Now, to me, that sounds like an ultimatum. Those of us who grew up in the 1950s remember when traditional families were the norm and mom's would say, "No desert if you don't eat your vegetables."
I had the benefit growing up in the 1950s and 1960s when traditional families were the norm and sanity and rationality were as accepted as truth, justice, and the American way.
Well, this isn't the 1950s. Authoritarian extremists permeate and, in some cases dominate, every aspect of our culture.
No one would have thought in the 1950s that church attendance would be banned for any reason. But, as left-wing extremists constantly remind us, this is 2020. And is 2020 church attendance in many jurisdictions, such as Michigan, is effectively banned. In some areas you may attend church but you must not sing.
But, seriously, is that what the governor was saying? Let's do a deep dive into the shallow waters of Gov. Gretchen's mind and evaluate what she is really thinking.
    *************2**************
But first, before we dig deeper, a quick reminder to subscribe to our channel, mash the thumbs up button, and click the bell. You will want to bookmark dizzy.news. That will take you directly to YouTube and to our channel.
So what was Gretchen Whitmer thinking?
Here is a direct quote from christianpost.com:
During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer told her constituents that if they want to go back to church, they must vote for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
Remember back in the day when left-wing extremists were reciting the 'separation of church and state' cliche? Whatever happened to that?
By the way, 'separation of church and state' is not in the constitution. There is no 'separation clause' or 'establishment clause' as the far-left would have us believe.
    ***************3**********************
The phrase 'separation of church and state' was first mentioned by President Thomas Jefferson in a letter to Baptists in Danbury, Connecticut. It was written on January 1, 1802. Jefferson was writing in defense of the Baptists who were facing discrimination due to their religious beliefs.
    Here's a quote from Jefferson's letter:
Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between Man & his God, that he owes account to none other for his faith or his worship, that the legitimate powers of government reach actions only, & not opinions, I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should "make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof," thus building a wall of separation between Church & State.
So here's the point: The wall of separation was not to prohibit Christian involvement in government, but rather to acknowledge that the government has no right to interfere with the church. Or, to place it in very specific terms, to prohibit Gov. Gretchen from banning church attendance and to prohibit California governor Gavin Christopher Newsom from banning singing in church.
    ****************4***********************

Now, here's the real kicker. In his letter in which he coined the phrase 'wall of separation between church and state,' the president of the United States said, "I reciprocate your kind prayers for the protection & blessing of the common father and creator of man, and tender you for yourselves & your religious association, assurances of my high respect & esteem."
Think about that for a moment. No sooner than he wrote the words "wall of separation between church and state," the president writing from his office in official capacity endorsed the Christian religion by reciprocating prayer and affirming creationism.
If the separation clause meant that government official cannot practice religion in their official capacity — such as praying before the opening of a legislative body — then Thomas Jefferson violated his own doctrine immediately after he created it.
Obviously, the wall of separation was not intended to prohibit The Ten Commandments from being posted on school walls or mounted on plaques in courtrooms. It was not intended to cause far-leftist moonbats from freaking out every time someone prayered before congress, city council, or school board.
    *****************5***********************
Here's the quote from Gov. Gretchen:
“If you’re tired of lockdowns or you’re tired of wearing masks or you wish you were in church this morning or watching college football, or your kids were [in] in-person instruction, it is time for change in this country, and that’s why we’ve got to elect Joe Biden,” she said.

  • Unconstitutional and impossible to enforce.

    An empty threat. Move along.

Waiting  until they get the courts stacked with leftists judges that will obey every command of the ruling elites.
The constitution does not mean anything to them.

  • I LITERALLY pray to God that this brazen attempt at blackmail BACKFIRES GLORIOUSLY right back in her face, and Trump wins Michigan by a handy margin.

May God destroy the hopes and works of the ungodly!
