A non-catholic family member of mine is in bad health and I suspect there is a realistic chance they may die instead of recovering. Assuming they die, if they have a funeral I cannot attend yes?
Also prayers for their recovery and conversion would be appreciated.

Check with your priest about attending the funeral but I don't see why you couldn't go. However visit them as much as you can before they pass away and talk about the faith. You may be the only instrument here below that this person has through which they can find true salvation.

If there is a funeral, attend out of respect. Don’t participate in the services

Due to the nature of their aliment (infectious) they can't have visitors in the hospital.

When my new age mother died, I not only helped pay for the funeral but also attended and gave the eulogy. The service was at the funeral home and was non-religious.

Just don't show participation in non Catholic prayers and religious ceremonies.

I should mention his family is eastern orthodox and his wife is novus ordo. So if he were to die I have no idea how they will do things.
