  • Certain frozen pizzas have also shrunk. But it probably looks better to keep the prices what they are and shrink the food, than to raise the prices and keep the portions the same.

Though I'm betting you could find instances where the food got smaller and the price bigger too... lol Can't think of any, but it sounds very plausible.

Come to think of it... I think they're shrinking the coffee too!

     :really-mad2: :good-shot: :nunchaku:

Now that's hitting below the belt...
I renounce any and all of my former views against what the Church through Pope Leo XIII said, "This, then, is the teaching of the Catholic Church ...no one of the several forms of government is in itself condemned, inasmuch as none of them contains anythi

  • Noticed that myself. We usually purchase Jack's cheese pizza and now there is a third of the pizza pan that is empty.
Also, fresh parsley. Bunches of fresh parsley as well are less than half the amount of a few months back.
Also sugar, a few brands have 4lb. bags as opposed to 5 lb. bags.

  • It strikes me as dishonest.

Why not just raise the price and be done with it? At least then we can see the reality of food inflation -- who knows, maybe people might find some good solutions once they REALIZE that food prices are rising at a rate of 25 or 30% a year.

But making the peanut butter can have a larger "indent" on the bottom, to shave off 1.7 oz. of peanut butter -- that's sneaky and underhanded. They're hoping people won't notice!

When someone lies to you, and you discover the truth on your own, how do you feel about the original liar?

If General Foods would lie about packaging and amounts, what else are they lying about? Health concerns regarding their products? Genetically engineered ingredients? Harmful substances in their food? Etc.

  • If I remember right, I did hear that this is something that will be done to us via the instructions of the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. Quality and even contamination of food so that we are left always weak, always tired, always fighting off one sickness or another. In other words, to darn sick and tired to care or fight.
