And why couldn't you act as if you were ready for that bullet in the head -- but fiercely fighting the Communist regime in the meantime? As in, "from my cold dead hands" and "take a few of them with me"?

This is America after all. Right now, the base or default position is that we collectively own a lot of guns, property, equipment, etc. We do NOT all start out helpless slaves owning nothing living in an apartment in a huge city.

There has to be a line in the sand: when they come for your guns, property, family, etc.

If enough people fought back at that stage, there would BE NO establishment of the totalitarian regime.

Because it is too late then.  Far too late.  You just had an election stolen in a way that would embarass Italy or Chile or India.  Think about how brazen the deep state are.  How amoral.  They are devils.

This is America?  A banana republic that cannot run a free and fair election.  The rest of the world is laughing.

They will turn communities against each other, show dead families on TV with dead 3 year olds and blood stained teddy bears, blame nationalist vigilantes and make people like your family the enemy.  They will manipulate public opinion, because they can.  
People won't fight back at that stage.

Well, I just went to the grocery store today and I failed at being a "gray man" as I was the only person in the store not wearing a face mask.

I'm not sure being a gray man is worth having to compromise with society's stupidity.

The gray man concept is a strategy for staying out of trouble in case you get caught in a riot or you need to travel through a bad area. It's not new. 40 years ago my dad used to tell me that standing out like a sore thumb in certain places could get a person killed so blend in or stay away.
