Even one death is truly a tragedy, so the following isn't making light of deaths from the virus, but another perspective is that if this virus goes global in a 1918 flu sense, and it infects the same percentage of the global population and has the about the same fatality rate, roughly 750 million people worldwide will die. That's a lot of people, however, it doesn't even put a dent into the global population of nearly 8 billion people.
