Whatever happens, I rest in the Bible's promise that it "shall not come near your tent"... but we all need to live in awareness and carefully.
I am pretty good at living on very little and I am willing to share my space with anyone who can live this way.
If you just need a stable quiet place to sleep for a share of $250 a month for a few months (covers everything, including a daily meal) contact me.

Actually, I live more or less like a nun, so my space would be congenial for someone who is either a quiet studious type of person or someone who just wants to work and have a place to rest and save money.
I am near the University of Texas in Austin and I am a 56-yr old artist/craftsperson trying to finish my novel. I go to Tai Chi classes in the neighborhood and I paint watercolors, mostly outdoors as a street painter.
I'm thinking of getting involved with public access television and it would be great if someone else with a similar interst wanted to co-operate on a project. We have a very good station here and I envision a kind of arts/interview series. I have some experience as a producer in the past.
I have a small income that is barely enough to cover my rent and utilities and I rely on my skills for the margin. By American standards I fall into the "poor" categorry, but I am wealthy by any reasonable global standard because I sit here in a warm kitchen listening to the finest music and sipping coffee while fellowshipping internationally on free wifi.
This apartment is a large L-shaped efficiency with a white tiled bath, a large split-able closet, and would be divided into two spaces by bookcases. It is on the city bus routes and bicycle-friendly.
Oh, and the head of the household is "Sir Chirpsalot", an English Budgie who is sqwaking at me right now to include the caveat: "No Cats!!!" :faint:

Not sure how to get involved with the Public TV, know Howard Phillips is on several with his Conservative Caucus......somebody maybe to contact for the how to stuff...

Oh, whereever you live, find the local cable city-hall stuff and that is usually associated with free citizen tv production. Austin is one of the cities that required cable companies to subsidize free equipment with a municipal tax on cable.
It is not the same as "NPR" public broadcasting, but very similar. Much more grass-roots with lots of very strange, often very disturbing, personal production going on.
Successful programmers may start with a crew of no more than 5 or 6 working in their spare time but will be able to gather sponsorship and grants to professionalize their programs if they are persistent.
I was worried that my skills might be obsolete but recently found that a single refresher course on the new equipment may be all I need. A license here in Austin costs only $100. Each crew member would have to get licensed individually by taking the station's training course.

Yes, Tai Chi. I'm studying a traditional form that is Chinese physical exercise, not the New Age stuff.
It is helpful for my arthritis and my stress.

The Bible promises that trouble will not come near our tents? Where does that leave those who have suffered for the faith? From the early Church, to the French Revolution, to all of the Marxists revolutions, to peaceful pro-lifers of recent years who have lost their homes to so-called rackateering laws -- many have learned that trouble does come near and even into our tents -- and we are to take up our crosses and follow Him.

Im not in your country, but I had a similar idea a few years ago where I wanted to get 3 Catholics to share the 4 room apartment.
The idea is a great one, since my neibhours who were not remotely catholic at the time were neibhours from hell. I eventually had to move, it was a complex of apartments and I moved several times, but everywhere it was the same, drunken, ignorant, violent neighbours. I would not have had that problem if my neighbours were devout Catholics and went to bed at a reasonable hour.
This idea is worthy of a very big organisation. It should be one with a database that does checks and allows you to locate other Catholics by area so you can live in the same place.
Someone should put this idea into practice. I ought to do it myself for my own country. :cowboy:
