  • My husband and I are working together in designing and crafting a flag of the Sacred Heart to fly outside of our home. Maybe when we get it done I'll post pics. :)
Religion clean and undefiled before God and the Father, is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: and to keep one's self unspotted from this world.

Jen51, that sounds like a good business idea.

  • M.D., that's precisely what I've been looking for.  Is that a banner that can be purchased anywhere?   Our family is very devoted to OL of Guadalupe.

It's the flag of Mexico from around 1810.

No, I don't know of anywhere that prints this flag, but if anyone has the ability, I know plenty of people who'd like one.

We had not thought of selling the flags, but that is a good idea. My husband is currently trying to phase out of being employed, and employ himself through his craftsmanship.
He is currently working on a Sacred Heart that he's turning on his wood lathe. The heart is life sized, made from old, ornate-grained cedar. The heart is enthroned, with flames. So far it looks really nice, and we've not seen anything like it for sale anywhere. We're hoping to sell a few of those. Once he gets a few items made I'll make sure to post them here.

    Great idea, Jen.
Also, see MaterDominici's answer to my inquiry, if your husband is interested in expanding his flag creation talent.

  • I own a St. George's Cross flag. That's my favourite Catholic flag, since St. George is the protector saint of my country.
