Being prepared ("prepped" as it were) for the future takes a lot more than a pile of cash, and certainly more than a bunch of e-cash or stock market 1s and 0s!
How about the 8 Gs?
God - your spiritual house in order, this would also count having a chapel nearby that you have supported for missionary priests to say Mass, spiritual books, etc. Your home should be a mini church of sorts
Gold - Financial resources - includes silver, some physical cash, and barter items
Guns - any means of security and self-defense. Besides things bought at a gun shop, there's cinder blocks, plywood in storage in case you need to cover windows, etc.
Grain - food, water, and medicine
Goods - supplies to produce more of these by hand - water filters, garden equipment, wood chipper, composting equipment, survival books, etc. Plus repair supplies to maintain everything by yourself -- including your family, house, garden, vehicles, etc.
Ground - owning land. This includes moving to and/or living in the right geographic location, and being debt-free wherever you are.
Grasp - Knowledge and hands-on experience of practical things. Not just a stack of books, but internal, tested knowledge and muscle memory. They can never take knowledge from you. Invest money in training, not just physical stuff. 1000 rounds in storage and 9000 rounds put downrange is better than having 10K rounds in storage that will do you no good!
Group - getting to know your neighbors, forming relationships and groups BEFORE the collapse. Working with others will be vital in any collapse scenario. Even a Bingo club would be better than having no pre-existing social net.
Note: I haven't gone to the range yet myself, but I just learned this and it's certainly true.

I think "Group" is important
-
An essential "F" for fitness (physical fitness) is missing. Without fitness, ain't no person surviving a SHTF or TEOTWAWKI event, no matter how much of the aforementioned "Gs" he possesses, except the first "G", but even God may not save from physical death a person who neglected his body for so long.
A person can shoot all he wants and have the best "tactical" equipment, but if he can't rapidly run 100 yards without being exhausted, thus affecting his mental acuity and physical ability to effect accurate shot placement, he's gonna die ugly.
-
The most important thing is to make acts of perfect contrition daily! Love God and do what you please.

A fit mind can function efficiently without a fit body... but, a fit body can't function efficiently without a fit mind.

Don't press your enemy too firmly:
If you make him desperate, you make him stronger.

I wouldn't necessarily say that it would make one's enemy stronger, I'd argue that it would make one's enemy more dangerous due to desperation... more or less, unpredictable.

The practice of the presence of God throughout the day is essential.
The book by Brother Lawrence comes to mind.
Prayer opens us up to the miraculous power of God.
With God on our side, who shall we fear.
While my husband is driving, we will sometimes see a driver ahead of us doing a strange maneuver, hitting the freeway barrier, creating a lot of sparks, but then bouncing back into his lane, and somehow avoiding an almost certain collusion. At those times, my husband and I will say simultaneously, "That was a miracle from God," Surely, God is with us.
-
Yes. We need to prepare and being fit is important because the hospitals have become places of death.

Classic.
The young Millennial, who probably only has "physical fitness" covered, is playing up the primary importance of physical fitness. I've seen this a thousand times. Everyone wants to be a winner. Whatever you're good at, wherever you're all set? That's what you say is most important in life.
If you had a couple of those G's covered (say, Guns and Group) you'd be secure enough so that you could GET in shape in the early days of the collapse. The group would look out for you in the meantime. Just for starters, the Group would implicitly include many of the other G's!

The out of shape guy living in fantasy land. Oblivious to the fact that you don't get to choose the day, hour, or place when evil comes your way. In the literal struggle for your life, there is no "time out" or recess.
I always get a laugh at the overweight preppers & militia men on Youtube who couldn't walk three flights of stairs at a normal pace without being out of breath, and even one flight of stairs is taxing for them, but they pontificate on how to survive and execute special combat tactics. They're all gonna die ugly, no matter how big their groups and how many guns they have strapped.

Ok, I am toast. ;D
Too ill to do anything much physical. Will have to tell the forces of evil to line up appropriately so I can shoot them easier. ;)

I am also ill.
Prayer is our only but most powerful weapon.
Who is greater than God? None.
O Most Holy Theotokos, save us.

O Lady of Vladimir, pray to God for us that we may be saved.

Amen.
Svjatyj Bozhe, Svjatyj Krepkij, Svjatyj Bezsmertnyj, Pomiluj nas
Svjatyj Bozhe, Svjatyj Krepkij, Svjatyj Bezsmertnyj, Pomiluj nas
Svjatyj Bozhe, Svjatyj Krepkij, Svjatyj Bezsmertnyj, Pomiluj nas
It is truly meet to bless thee, O Theotokos,
ever blessed, and most pure, and the Mother of our God.
More honorable than the cherubim,
and more glorious beyond compare than the seraphim.
Without corruption thou gavest birth to God the Word.
True Theotokos, we magnify thee.
(I be TradCat Polish Latin, but being of Slavic descent I do partake of the Eastern Catholic prayers esp when sung in Church Slavonic. I can understand most of it and read the transliterated versions.Once upon a time I was in a dual rite monastery in the infamous Scranton PA area)

Don't crow too loudly. Age comes with material advantages and lessons learned:
I can shoot farther than you can see. Being "in shape" isn't gonna help unless you can cover a mile in 10 seconds.
Me and my atv can go anywhere a man can walk. Not that I need it, I've worked construction 35 years now, farming before that, but it is a whole lot quicker out where I live.
Can you see at night? Can you keep from being seen at night? Some of us can.
Do you keep cash, gold, or silver in your bug out bag? Not everyone you meet is your enemy, or friend. I don't have a bug out, but a "bug back" bag to get back home, even on foot if I have to.
My truck gun is a scoped 308 battle rifle.
How many armed and trained people in your home?
Just some food for thought.

Look out, folks. We got another internet "bad ass" here.
Your ATV will do you no good in an EMP event or an extended TEOTWAWKI where fuel runs dry.
Looks like you'll need to rely on your own body to commute. In order to survive, you better be able to do it efficiently, with endurance, and be less prone to physical injuries when using your body. You need to be fit.
One of the fundamental criteria for Special Ops is meeting high physical fitness standards and mental will. That's much of the base off of which everything else works. In a bona fide SHTF or TEOTWAWKI event, you'll be required to call upon such standards to survive WITHOUT all of your GI Joe goodies.

Haha, I've never been called that one before. Sorry if you took it wrong and got all triggered, I assure you that was not my intent. I'm only trying to show that men who are older (let's say 50+) are very capable despite being at a bodily disadvantage. If your trying to troll me, sorry for that too, the years have taught me not to give you that power.
As for my pull start atv still with a carburator. Even if weaponized EMP existed there is nothing on my atv sensitive to it. Experience has taught me plenty, like how to smell balderdash. I've shielded plenty of things for our IT people and it is incredibly easy. Shielded/drain cable only an inch from a 10hp 3phase motor is sufficient. At less than 1 foot a 300 hp motor running FLA can't even interrupt my test equipment much less ruin it. It creates enough RF to down my drone at 30 feet but it doesn't ruin it and I can't imagine there are many things more sensitive than a little picture taking drone. How about fuel? That's not real hard to keep on hand dear.
Next point; you say TEOTWAWKI but then claim I need to commute? Where am I going?
Your last item indicates that only Navy Seals will survive and if so, I will go to my Maker in the attempt because I am first a husband and father and it is my duty.

Good point.
And there wont be hospitals in the collapse scenario.
