    • They had a sign, "We no longer have lunch specials. Senior discount is a free small drink."

    Hmm -- it seems the skyrocketing food prices are squeezing the profit margins of just about everybody.

    As you know, soft drinks are the highest markup item on any fast food menu. They only cost pennies to produce, but they charge $1 to $2 for a drink.
