It can't do any damage there either.

The reason why it wouldn't, is that asteroids have crashed against the moon too many times.

Still not clear, right?

God put the moon there, so asteroids would safely crash with it, and not with Earth.

Our moon is too big, compared with other planets' satellites.

Our moon is too close to Earth, compared to other planets' satellites.

Our moon is our God-given "Asteroid Defense Shield".

And there is more about the moon, but I won't tell.

Again, mark my words, it won't EVER happen.

Well I certainly don't know about these things, just wonder and believe that someday God will send something from the heavens to wake us up.

Now I am again curious DT, what is it about the moon that you won't tell us?

That was Chernobyl.

Chernobyl was a merely nuclear accident. Nothing fell from the heaven to cause such disaster; furthermore, 1/3 of the waters on earth were not impacted by Chernobyl causing many deaths.
