So called Thousand Years storms and floods are hitting with such ferocity that they are becoming weekly occurences. Pakistan, Australia, Brazil... the list goes on. 2011 is going to be the year of massive crop failures and ocean death. Food prices are going to soar.

Maybe the greatest threat to northern ecosystems is the Mountain Pine Beettle. The numbers are off the chart. At present rate 90% of the western North American evergreen forest will be dead within 5 years. Without a sustained 3 weeks of -20celcius winter cold snap the beetles do not die. The truly apocalyptic scenario is the Mountain Pine beetle jumping into the Canadian and Russian Boreal forest. It is happenning right now. CO2 and methane release would grow by a factor of 10 worldwide within 3 years when it happens. Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets would melt and eventually totally collapse. Sea levels will rise 70 meters. It is the future of the Fatima predictions, the Hopi nation, Edgar Cayce and countless other prophets have foretold. It's not just about global warming. It's about the cuмlative effects of the unmitigated greed of the human race. Mankind has destroyed 70% of the world's forest and over 80% of the ocean life in just 100 years.

Mutated Hantavirus and the mysterious deadly Pacific northwest fungus are just starting to appear. As the forest dies and animals migrate the potential for super-bugs to appear is growing daily.

    This figure supports thinning of the icepack over the last couple of decades since older ice tends to be thicker than younger ice.  You can see in this figure how little of the really old, and thick ice there is left in the Arctic Basin.

    In fact, the figure shows ice 5 years or older dropping from 800,000 sq-km in 2008 to 400,000 in 2009 to only 320,000 sq-km. Spring 2010 also saw a record low in the amount of ice 4 years or older.

    Harbinger of Things to Come

    With above average temperatures in the region, sea ice freeze up was delayed dramatically this winter. In mid-November, minimum ice cover on Hudson Bay was the lowest it’s been since 1971. A recently released report from the National Snow and Ice Center revealed that this November had the second lowest ice extent ever recorded in November throughout Arctic. According to Dr. Amanda Staudt, NWF Global Warming Scientist, the sea ice trends on Hudson Bay are a glimpse of the dramatic ice declines occurring throughout the Arctic.

    "The Arctic is experiencing climate change at a much more dramatic and alarming rate than elsewhere,” said Dr. Staudt. “And we must remember that what happens in the Arctic does not stay in the Arctic. A recent study linked declining sea ice to more extreme winter weather events in the lower 48 states.”

 

Ice cubes left outside on January 4, 2011 melted. This is in the Arctic. Take a look at Greenland. It is right on the edge of a total ice sheet collapse. Negative Arctic oscillation are compounding. Warm air and water are drawn in and cold air and water are exhaled… in this case into western Europe and central North America. A proof of this oscillation is the extreme temperature swings in the prairie provinces. Calgary Alberta has been having temperature swings of 45 degrees Celsius in a matter of days.

As I previously reported all the big chiefs from NATO were in Canada prior to the G20 meeting for some high-level emergency contingency planning… not to pressure Canada to stay in the Afghan mission….that was just a ruse…. but to address a much more serious matter.

Canada’s Exercise Magnitude 10 had nothing to do with earthquakes. There were tier 1 defensive contractors on board Canadian Coast Guard Heavy Ice Breakers in the Arctic along with very high level US DOD representatives. All focus has been on the Arctic and the Greenland ice sheet.

All of the so called publicly available data on Arctic temperatures and Oscillation patterns has disappeared. Try to find it. There is nothing available after August 2010. The US and Canada have spent Millions on real-time monitoring in the Arctic. The data has vanished.

Above zero on Baffin Island in January is like a blizzard in the Sahara in July.

As these Warm/Cold Oscillations continue to expand Western Europe and Eastern North America are going to see EXTREME weather. In the summer the heat waves in the western U.S. are going to be downright Biblical…. just like the flooding in Australia. Nature is trying to restore a balance that has gone past the tipping point.

Real Danger. A few bird deaths. A few mega blizzards and biblical floods. These are nothing compared to the events in the near future when the Great Boreal Forest starts to die and billions of tons of methane are released into the Atmosphere.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) contributes to plant growth as part of the miracle of nature known as photosynthesis. This enables plants to combine Carbon Dioxide and water with the aid of light energy to form sugar. Some of these sugars are converted into complex compounds that increase dry solid plant substances for continued growth to final maturity. However, when the supply of carbon dioxide is cut off, or reduced, the complex plant cell structure cannot utilize the sun's energy fully and growth or development is curtailed.

The argument that high levels of CO2 are killing the environment is false.  

Some have argued that the high levels of nitrogen are also killing the environment but that seems to be false too.  Many controlled studies with high levels of both CO2 and Nitrogen seem to indicate a greater increase in plant growth.

However, if you read between the lines you'll find this....

“The quality of the food produced by the plant decreases, so you’ve got to eat more of it to get the same benefits.“Nitrogen is a critical component for building protein in animals, and much of the grain grown in the United States is fed to livestock.

“Under the rising CO2 scenario, livestock – and humans – would have to increase their intake of plants to compensate for the loss.”
 
In other words, humans will have to eat more plants and we'll have less for the grain fed cows......

Personally, I think there are real efforts to control the food supply.  Control the food supply--control the masses.
