Since the topic is TEOTWAKI ("the end of the world as we know it"), instituting a world WROL ("without rule of law") and the then morality, my question is......, what is the moral obligation if instead of a woman and child it's a man they are after for the same purposes?

Thanks for posing a slightly different scenario. Others will respond, however, nothing changes for me from the way I responded in my earlier post. A human being is a human being, man or woman. Factors I detailed all still need to be considered. The take-away is, get prepared, be prepared, and stay prepared. This is a dangerous world we're living in and it's not headed in a safer direction. "Fortitudine et Deo Duce Ferro Comitante".
