  • Very cool indeed!
Stir up within Thy Church, we beseech Thee, O Lord, the Spirit with which blessed Josaphat, Thy Martyr and Bishop, was filled, when he laid down his life for his sheep: so that, through his intercession, we too may be moved and strengthen by the same Spir

  • I hope they show you how to make the tools required to construct all those pieces of machinery. I pretty sure Black&Decker aint gonna be around after the 3DD.  :smirk:

Personally though, I think a lot of people need to learn how to dig a hole in the ground, plant seeds, irrigate, and harvest by hand before they even think about getting machines to do it for them. A lot of the agricultural machines in use today are for the most part unnecessary in a sustainable operation anyway.

Having said that, I think this project is awesome!

  • Catholic Samurai, I don't think the project is thinking of reconstructing from doomsday (or post 3DD for that matter), but more coming up with affordable, DIY-able machines for places like Africa. Rich in scrap and labor, but poor in heavy machinery etc.

  • Brilliant SheepGirl.

I love how Marcil calls it "artificial scarcity",( and also his funny self portrait of a poor sharecropper.)

Imagine, he made 1,000 bricks from the dirt beneath his feet in one day!

  • This was really neat. Made me think of the video Planned Obsolecence video posted by RC1953; I wonder how these big companies will figure out to sideline and skew any really potential this project has... pay him off most likely.
