I’ve heard you called the Forgotten Generation or the Lost Generation.
The Lost Generation is actually the British name for the generation of men lost to WWI. So many didn’t come back and those that did were maimed, disabled, missing limbs, had their faces blasted off, and suffered “shell shock,” severe PTSD. The birth rate plunged for nearly a decade because of the men who did return, many were unfit for work, marriage, a family. So many went home, into seclusion and died young.
Gen X is more or less forgotten coming on the tails of the Baby Boomers and were quickly replaced by the Millennials.
The Boomers should be divided in two sections, 1946-1953, 1954-1964.
