Believe it or not I have family members who are Traditional Catholic (some Sedevacantist some SSPX) that believe smoking marijuana is perfectly fine and that everyone against doing it is wrong for thinking so.
Cannabis oil is supposed to do all kinds of wonderful things for folks with ailments, however, in my experience, those who promote the oil seem to be promoters of smoking it as well.
I realize I am very much outnumbered in my own family peer group as most of them are all pro-marijuana, but as far as my immediate family is concerned, I would never want my children using that stuff no matter what. (I have first hand experience with what it can do to someone..there are dangerous side effects and it is highly addictive) Thankfully my husband agrees.
We did need to have conversations with our teenage children to warn them about family members.

While it's easy to understand why some may think marijuana is "highly addictive" (since some people like to use it to excess and daily, even), nonetheless, you will have a hard time finding any credible studies that indicate ANY
chemical addiction to be a factor. If any, it would come under "
psychological" addiction. That's another way of saying "habit forming," like eating ice cream, taking early morning walks in the park, or always hanging your car keys on the same hook on the wall.

I have a dictionary printed in 1964 that says hemp contains poisonous chemicals. But if that were true, the pot-heads that use it almost constantly should be clamoring for treatment to get free from its poisoning. Have you ever heard of that happening? Detox is for alcohol addiction (alcoholism) or drug addiction (heroin or other opiates) but not for cannabis. One undesirable side-effect of pot smoking is loss of ambition or loss of fighting spirit. So it might not be such a good idea for your soldiers whom you have to send in to fight a battle.

The market for CBD is steadily growing, as consumers recognize its benefits and lack of negative side-effects.
