  • Where will you turn to for guidance when the old timers (unfortunately) start dying off?
"There's a mix of passion and shortsightedness in me, even when I'm positive that I'm doing my very best to see things for what they are, that warns me that I'll never know for sure. Undoubtedly I must follow the truth I can see, I have no choice and I must live on; but that is for me only, not to impose on others." - Fr. Leonardo Castellani

  • I don't know. Maybe to the Catholic sites or some member of CI who gained enough experience to pass as an "old timer".
But the best thing is to pray, because we have friends in Heaven who will help through the power of the Holy Spirit, even when you're cut off from CI and have to live in a world of indifferent, secular and even heinous people.

By the time we're all dead, YOU will be the old-timers!
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • That's what I'm afraid of.

  • That's why I try to get all the wisdom I can, now, from old timers. Nothing is better than talking to elderly Catholics, especially if I have the chance to converse with an old priest. THAT is a real privilege.

  • Time passes.

The oldsters who annoy you now you will miss tremendously when they are gone.

Books.  I will get my wisdom from good books.
"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." Saint Thomas Aquinas the greatest Doctor of the Church

  • That's what I would say if I was under 25.  I barely missed the cut off
