Positivity Amidst the Decline

  • Thread idea:
Post positive things that affirm your Faith, show God's providence etc. No negative garbage in this thread, please.

    I'll start:
Today I met another young man who asked my child's name and immediately recognized me as a traditional Catholic and mentioned how much of a blessing it was to be living in an area with valid sacraments. This was such a rush seeing other young men doing their best, I saw how much food he bought and found out he has six kids with a seventh on the way!
Regard all of my posts as unfounded slander, heresy, theologically specious etc
I accept Church teaching on Implicit Baptism of Desire.
    Francis is Pope.
    NO is a good Mass.
    Not an ironic sig.

  • Hearing my kids having their toys recite the Hail Mary when they were playing in the other room was a pretty big positive to me the other day.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

  • I ran into a man i haven't spoke to in 6 years, at least. He said. "Remember the last thing you said to me.? 'Be good to your wife.'  I said I would.  All these years i have remembered that and have tried to fulfill my word.  And I never got to say thank you.  So, thank you and God bless you."

  • Today I went into the vestibule of our chapel and an old lady just came up to me and shared how someone she knew (that probably goes to the same chapel but I don't think I know him) came back to life and started joking with his family after he was declared dead by the doctor, transported down from the van with all vertebrae broken; they had the funeral cancelled and it was a miracle! I don't know who that is, but God bless him and his family.

  • My father who has severe dementia was able to say parts of prayers with me on the phone. The nursing aid held the phone to his ear and he filled in words to the Sign of the Cross, Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be.  Then she told me he attempted to make the Sign of the Cross.  Sometimes he goes for days without speaking, so I thank Our Lord for granting him a little of his memory.

  • My daughter drew me a picture of Our Lord on the Cross yesterday because she knows I love Jesus

She's five, so her art skills are still developing :laugh1:

I can't wait until my son is old enough to do something like this...

Today my infant son smiled a little at our favorite ejaculatory prayer "Jesus, Mary, Joseph". Can't wait till he actually can say it with me.

Your heart will soar once you hear it come from his lips. Best feeling as a parent.

I have found the best feeling as a parent is when an adult child apologizes for having been a very difficult child, changes his path, and becomes a good practicing Catholic.

  • About a year ago I asked for prayers for a young traditional Catholic family that was facing a crisis due to the gene editing shot mandate in the military.

    Thanks for your prayers!

The father of two boys 2 and under was facing incredible pressure from his unit to succomb because he was the only holdout and the entire unit would be punished because of him. They also threatened a dishonorable discharge which would leave him with a felony record.

Well, he held out and those things did not come to pass.  It turns out that the military medical personnel did not set a broken bone from an earlier injury correctly and now he is leaving with a medical disabilty discharge and an ongoing monthly income to support his family!

    Thanks be to God!

I exposed AB Vigano's public meetings with Crowleyan Satanist Dugin so I ask protection on myself family friends priest, under the Blood of Jesus Christ and mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary! If harm comes to any of us may that embolden the faithful to speak out all the more so Catholics are not deceived.

  • I found out late yesterday, on the Queenship of Mary, that I finally a time set for my hernia surgery! I go under the knife in August. Date is not yet fixed but it will be in August. It has been a long two year wait.

And tho I shall walk or be guerneyed in the hospital corridor of darkness, I shall fear no evil. :incense::pray::incense:

    Right.
I hope you are able to find a priest to give you extreme unction prior to your surgery.  In this day and age, especially, anytime someone goes to the hospital as a patient they may not make it out alive.  I encourage all priests to be very generous when it comes to extreme unction.
