My dogs run through the woods a lot and get ticks all the time. Just make sure to remove them asap. Ticks need to be attached for some time before they can transmit certain illnesses. I believe like at least 24 hours. The danger isn't really a bite but prolonged exposure from being attached for awhile. I give my dogs Simparica trio. If a tick is attached it will be killed within the 24 hours. I didn't give them any flea and tick meds in the past because I don't like to put unnecessary chemicals in their bodies, but I do now because my dog got Lyme disease from ticks. She walked through a nest apparently and the ticks were so small we never saw them. She was treated with a months worth of antibiotics and is fine now but I'm too afraid to risk something like that from now on so I just use the meds. (BTW Lyme only comes from black legged ticks)
This is good to know. It was my first time seeing a lone star tick (created by the elites) carrying alpha gal disease, (elites' wives) the internet will scare you about anything. I had my own lone star tick bite very recently. It latched painlessly before I realized it 30 minutes into a bath. I killed it (they can swim) and poured hydrogen peroxide on it. I ate 12 raw eggs and had a raw veal liver with Buddy and chilled out in the bath, no symptoms happened. I imagine if I'd brought myself to the doctor for these ticks which are a huge problem here in Georgia, they'd inject me or spray me with something that'll activate the disease.
If I eat healthy and Buddy eats healthy ticks won't be able to do anything. Both of us do so we'll be healthy, or be able to fight anything off easily if we got sick.
