I brought him in frantically and wasn't asked for identification of the animal just my ID. I wasn't in their system which doesn't mean anything. They also don't vaccinate unless you get apply for a vet card. It'd be the same as taking a possum in on an injury. All they did was look at him.

If it was supposed to be done anyways, oh well, it didn't happen. They can't seize Buddy because he isn't my cat legally. He is my buddy.
I agree with her that he needs go get rabies vaccines. Otherwise one bite or scratch could make you infected. I just forgot about that because usually shelters have that done already.

The first picture is of Miho, our Croatian Shepherd.
Oooo I like him already (because he's Croatian).

Also separate comment, but should pets stay outside the house? When I was younger I thought it was fine fine but as I got older I started to see how much cleaner a home is when animals are kept outside.

My husbands ancestors are Croatian. It was a lifelong dream of his to get one of these dogs.

I personally do not like pets in the house. I didn’t mind as much before I had kids when I had the time to groom them frequently and do a lot of cleaning up after them. After having kids there was just no way I would be willing to manage it.  I can’t stand dog and cat hair everywhere, the smell of litter box or couches that smell like dogs. I know some people with pets inside that are able to mange it well.

In Croatia, on the country side, livestock would often share dwelling with the family. In the morning they would wake up and head to pasture with their Croatian shepherds keeping the animals in line as they traveled on their way.

I don't think there's a rule for that. But I do think dogs should stay outside, just better for them in general and that's how they can be useful. I would have my cats home for the same reason, unless they want to go outside.
