  • Funny!

I don't allow my children to have Facebook until they turn 16. Even then, I monitor them daily.

    Is Facebook sinful?

For what reason does a 16 year old need Facebook?  It's only purpose is to facilitate identity theft and stalkers.

I have 2 adult children, one 17 year old, and two under the age of 16.  There's not a Facebook account amongst any of them.

It isn't necessarily sinful to use FB. However, it is nothing more than a tool of the ʝʊdɛօ-Masonic goverment to spy on people. For that reason, it is best to avoid using it.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Thanks for the input. I agree. It's not a good idea to have it.

It's used mainly by the other kids in my church. But, perhaps I should remove  this ooccasion of sin.

Try to make it their decision and they will support it more.  It should be one of those things that is simply frowned upon in the household and good reasons should be explained over time.  Eventually, they will give it up on their own.

  • The protestant families I know with no tv and internet send out a family newsletter every spring with a family picture. They have pics of other families all over their kitchen.

It can create silly drama between kids and families too.

  • Good point. Facebook started a rumour in our parish last year. Very scandalous. My children have yet to be affected, but why take the chance. They were annoyed yesterday when I put my foot down. We are Facebook free!
