Actually, now that I have permanently escaped from the Novus Ordo, I find it absurd to see a Mass with the priest facing the people. It looks ridiculous.

Additionally, one should remember that both of these photos depict the very same thing and both of these photos depict priests who are in full communion with each other and are acting with the expressed permission of their bishops.

You are incorrect in your assessment. All of them are scandalous.

:reading:Look up "valid" and "licit." They are different. For a Mass to be valid, it must be offered by a valid priest. A validly ordained priest can offer a valid Mass that is sacriligious. While some novus ordo Masses are valid, some are not. Objectively speaking, no novus ordo Mass is legitimate because the rite itself is inherently defective. (Protestant)
