As an ex - black Metal fan I say that this "music" genre "Ain’t Got Nothing On Us".

This music is cartoonish and a sad caricature of an ill - perceived Christianity. All forms of darkness worship can’t keep up with the Catholic Church. And yes! we are into the macabre and not a bit scared of it. Christ has conquered Death.  "What a satanic music scene can only snatch at in its limited imagination, the Catholic Church builds churches out of".

" I say to you, if the all-out, Satan-worshipping disciple of Black Metal manages somehow to avoid the terrible mercy of God, he will find himself damned not for his mockeries, his darkness, or his demonic, skeletal art, but for his Pride, just like the white-collared, straightedged, “Christian” next to him".

I went through a phase of listening to ambient dark techno and also death metal, but it didn't last long. I found its rythms and sound effects to be like a sugar rush where you just want the next sound effect, but Now I just listen to Gregorian chant which has no sound effects, but instead has true atmosphere and gives goosebumps, I want to replace all my library with Gregorian chant now. After a while you get tired of sound effects. And another thing, they are always mathematical, the drums or sound effect beat in the back ground is always in intervals of 4, or 8. That fails because it gets old because you predict it.

Gregorian chant is fine, but it kind of falls flat on my ears after I listen to it for to long. IMO there is enough Black Metal/Music out there that it prob won't get old.

I wonder if it's possible to have a discussion on this forum about music without bringing up Gregorian chant. lmao

God allowed us to create these genres so why should I not enjoy them?
